The Church Walk Shopping Centre Caterham celebrated St Georges Day on a lovely sunny Saturday, 20 April.  Shelley Filippi Church Walk Centre Manager said "Holding the event on Saturday enabled children, who would otherwise be at school, to enjoy the celebrations".Children had the opportunity to meet St George in his full suite of armour on his trusted steed with  members of the Far Isles Medieval Society to learn about English history.  Sir Laugh-a-lot provided music throughout the day and Sonia Hunt, Caterham's Town Crier, heralded the events. The centre was fund raising for the Ambulance Service Benevolent Fund via balloon modelling and Bubblegum face painting.
