This year Bonfire Night falls perfectly on Sunday November 5, so expect fireworks shows leading up to the big night and displays the following weekend.

Friday October 27

TADWORTH

Fireworks, facepaint and fizz are what you can expect at The Children’s Trust’s Fireworks Night at the historical Tadworth Court.

Held for the first time to raise money for children with brain injury across the UK, the family-friendly evening begins at 6pm with the main display at 8pm.

Food and drink will be available as will glow-in-the-dark face paint and glow sticks.

NEWDIGATE

As well as a bonfire and fireworks, there will be a build a guy competition, fairground and a barbecue with burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks.

ALDERSHOT

The Rushmoor Fireworks Spectacular, organised by Rushmoor Borough Council, will be returning to Manor Park with FREE entry to all.

Gates will open at 5pm and a large funfair, plus catering vehicles offering food and refreshments, will be available leading up to the 20-minute firework spectacular at 7.30pm.

CHOBHAM

The Chobham Fireworks Extravaganza will be celebrating 25 years at Chobham Rugby Club.

As well as a beer tent, barbecue and glow in the dark noveltie, there will also be a Halloween fancy dress competition.

Judging starts at 6.45pm and the winners of the scariest outfit will help light the bonfire.

Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks at 8pm.

An NCT group is hosting a Low Bangs Fireworks Party at Guildford Rugby club (Boadwater Sports Club), GU7 3DH.

The fun starts at 4pm, fireworks start at 5.30pm.

Thursday November 2

GUILDFORD

Bushy Hill Junior School Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at the school in Sheeplands Avenue, Merrow, GU1 2SG from 6pm.

Hot dogs, soup, drinks and glow sticks will be on sale.

You will need to arrive before 7pm before the gates are closed.

No sparklers or dogs allowed.

Tickets available on the gate at £6 for adults, £4 for children and free for under 2s.

Friday November 3

CATERHAM

Marden Lodge Primary School Fireworks Night will also have food and drink and glow novelties to buy.

Gates open at 6.30pm, fireworks start at 7.15pm and the bonfire is lit after.

Tickets in advance cost £4 for adults, £3 for children and £12 for a family of two adults and two children.

Coldharbour bonfire and fireworks will start with a procession from The Plough at around 7.30pm, bonfire lighting, and then fireworks at 8pm.

Oakfield Junior School host its firework display with food and drink available to purchase on the night.

GODALMING

The firework and funfair site at The Burys Field (GU7 1HR) will open at 6pm and the firework display will be set off at 8pm.

A torch lit procession will set off from the bottom of Church Street at 7.15pm (torches will be available to buy from 6pm). The procession will walk along the High Street and down Bridge Street to The Burys.

Hotdogs, candyfloss, mulled wine, beer, tea, coffee and hot chocolate will all be available to purchase on the night.

Hascombe Village Bonfire kicks off with a children's torch procession which lights up the bonfire.

There will be a beer tent, mulled wine, French homemade crepes, a barbecue, cakes and toys tent.

The event starts at 7pm.

Free entry with a voluntary donation of £3 per adult, children get in free.

HINDHEAD

A professional display with music will be held on Hindhead Playing fields.

Gates open at 4.30pm and there will be a barbecue, refreshments, bar and glow sticks.

No dogs or sparklers are allowed.

Tickets in advance (available from Beacon Hill Garage) cost £5.50 for adults and £3.50 for children (aged 3+) or £6 and £4 on the door.

HORLEY

Horley Cricket Club always has a surprise theme for its bonfire and firework night – you will find out what this year’s is on the night.

Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire is lit at 7pm and fireworks start between 7.20pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5 each and a family ticket for two adults and two children is £10, additional children are £1 each.

The Bell at Outwood again hosts its Grand Bonfire & Firework Display to raise money for H.A.M – Helping Adolescents at the [Royal] Marsden Hospital, a hospital which specialises in cancer treatment.

There will be music and dancing till late, children’s entertainment, outside bars, burgers,raffles, novelties to buy and car parking.

There will also be prizes for the best Guy.

Gates open at 5.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 6pm and fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Entrance is £5 for adults and £3 for children aged three to 16.

PIRBRIGHT

Pirbright Fireworks return for its third year, organised by Friends of Pirbright School and set in the grounds of Pirbright Village Primary School.

Doors open at 5.15pm. A torch light parade will kick proceedings off at 6.15pm, followed the lighting of the bonfire at 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm.

BBQ, drinks and pocket money treats will be on sale.

REIGATE

The Friends of Wray Common Primary School Fireworks Spectacular is one of its biggest fundraisers of the year for the school.

There will be a barbecue and glow products to buy.

Gates open at 5.30pm and fireworks start at 6.30pm.

Tickets bought in advance by calling in to the school office are £5 for adults, £3 for children, and children under three are free. There are also family tickets available. Tickets bought on the night will cost a bit more.

Esher Rugby Club hosts its annual fireworks display with a fun fair, food and drink.

Doors and bar open at 5pm and the display will start at 8pm.

Burhill School host its bonfire night with a hog roast, mulled cider, pizza van, bar, games, sweet stall, glow in the dark stall. live band, arts and crafts and of course fireworks.

WEST BYFLEET

West Byfleet Family Fireworks Night returns in disco-tastic form this year.

Gates open at 5.45pm for the sale of hot food, sweets, drinks, and glow items.

A fireworks display to disco music starts at 6.30pm on the field of West Byfleet Junior School.

Tickets cost £6 per person on the gate, or can be purchased online at wbfireworks.co.uk.

WORCESTER PARK

Green Lane Firework Spectacular is a family friendly professional firework display held at Green Lane School.

There will be a barbecue and glow products available.

Saturday November 4

ASCOT

Kicking off the Jumps season with a bang, there will be plenty of family activities on top of horse racing at the Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday At Ascot.

Free for kids, expect fairground rides, light walkers and LED jugglers, balloon makers, pony rides, face painting, soft play and science shows.

The day finishes with a 20-minute fireworks display set to music at 6.30pm.

BANSTEAD

Banstead Cricket Club Firework Display takes place on the cricket ground in Avenue Road.

The bar will be open and there will be hotdogs and burgers and glow sticks to buy.

There will be music by Brizzler after the display.

The gates open at 6pm and fireworks are at 7.30pm.

Entrance is by donation so you’re asked to give generously.

BROCKHAM

As many as 20,000 people turn up to Brockham Bonfire each year, either to join the procession or to see the enormous bonfire itself which is as big as a small house and takes about six weeks to build.

Every year Titanium fireworks put on a display that blows up five tonnes of gunpowder and costs around £50,000.

There is an event timetable which takes you through everything that is happening throughout the day but the keys things you will probably want to know are: the procession leaves the Village Green at 6.15pm, the bonfire is lit at 7.45 and fireworks start at 8.15pm.

There is no admission price but collectors and will be shaking their buckets and tins and its hoped you will donate generously – your cash will go towards the various local charities and societies that benefit from the event.

CATERHAM

Caterham and District Round Table presents its annual bonfire and firework display.

Gates to the Dene Field open at 6pm and the torchlight procession leaves Westway Library at 6.30pm – if you get to the library early you can buy your torch.

The fire will be lit and the display will start from 7.15pm.

There is also a build your own Guy competition.

Tickets in advance are £4 and mean you can use the ticket-only gate – you can buy them via the link at www.caterhamroundtable.co.uk or from local shops in Caterham. Tickets bought on the gate are £5.

CHERTSEY

First Chertsey Scout Group and Chertsey Cricket Club will be holding their annual community fireworks event at the cricket club.

Gates open at 5.30pm, last entry is 7.15pm and the fireworks display takes place at 7.45pm.

Adult entry costs £6, under 16s £3 and under 3s enter free.

Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult.

Hot food and a bar is available, no parking on site, walking is advised.

CHIDDINGFOLD

Chiddingfold bonfire night will see 400 candles go on sale at St Mary's Primary School (£5 each), from where the procession will start at 7pm.

It will move to Chiddingfold village green, with the lighting of the bonfire at 7.30pm. The fireworks display is due to begin at 8pm.

There will be road closures and Park and Ride shuttle buses available.

CHIPSTEAD

Chipstead & Hooley Bonfire Association presents its Bonfire & Spectacular Firework Display on Chipstead Meads, next to the Rugby Club.

It’s recommended you walk there if you can but if you need to drive, you should arrive early and you can park at Chipstead football ground.

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm.

Admission is £6 for adults, £3 for children under 14 and children under five are free.

Surplus funds are donated to The Blonde McIndoe Foundation burns charity based at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, and the Queen Elizabeth Foundation in Banstead.

COBHAM

Cobham Avorians Cricket Club host its fireworks night with a bar, barbecue, mulled wine and glow toys.

Gates open 6pm, Bonfire lit 6.30pm, Display from 7.30pm

Organised, free parking on site and at Notre Dame School.

CRANLEIGH

The Cranleigh Bonfire and Fireworks event attracts around 8,000 people each year.

At 5.45pm crowds can assemble for a torchlight procession at 6pm from Park Mead to the Cranleigh Common bonfire site.

Slinfold Concert Band will be playing on Stocklund Square outside Sainsbury’s. Rawlings Hog Roast and other refreshments will be ready on the Common.

At 6.30pm crowds in Stocklund Square join in the torchlight Procession.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.50pm (approx), fireworks set to music at 7.30pm, Benson’s Fun Fair from 8pm.

Free entry but donations welcome.

DUNSFOLD

Dunsfold Bonfire will be held on Dunsfold Common with fireworks to follow at around 7.45pm.

Torch collections available from the Winn Hall at 6pm- 6.15pm then a spectacular torchlight procession will make it’s way to the bonfire opposite the Cricket Pitch where the bonfire will be lit.

Beer tent, mulled wine, Rawlings burgers and hotdogs, fresh popcorn, choco waffles, children's tombola and glow items will be on sale.

Torch vouchers will be available from the village shop from mid-October priced at £3 each or £5 for 2. Or £3.50 each on the night from outside the Winn Hall.

EGHAM

Get ready for Egham Hythe Scout's firework display.

Gates open at 6pm with the fireworks at 7pm.

Child entry (under 16) costs £2, adults £5.

There will also be refreshments available and a tombola.

EPSOM

Epsom Fireworks Display & Funfair at Hook Road Arena and organised by the 7th Epsom (Methodist) Scout Group, is one of the largest displays in the South East and has been going since 1971.

The 2017 display with the help of award winning Illusion Fireworks Limited will be the largest and most complex it has ever fired.

The 15-minute show will begin with a Spanish style 'Mascleta' and the display will use fireworks and effects sourced from around the world.

Gates open at 5.30pm and the display begins at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £7.50 on the gate and £5 in advance from local outlets or www.epsomfireworks.com.

FARNHAM

Organised by the Round Table, fireworks and a torch-lit procession return to Farnham Park.

The procession starts from Central Car Park at 6.15pm, marching up Castle Street into Farnham Park, led by a Scottish pipe band in full regalia.

There will be food, mulled wine, Hogsback beer and children's rides along with a Best Guy competition, and of course the bonfire lit at 7.15pm.

Fireworks display to music starts at 7.45pm.

FLEET

Fleet Lions Fireworks Fiesta returns to Calthorpe Park.

Gates open at 5pm with the show set to start around 6.30pm.

There will be lots of hot fast food stalls on site.

Adult tickets cost £6 and child entry is £3 and will be available from fleetlions.org.uk/fireworks and on the gate.

GUILDFORD

Guildford Lions Club once again brings a fireworks fiesta and torchlight procession to the town centre, this year in aid of Challengers, Headway and Guildford Lions Welfare Fund.

Torches go on sale at 6pm at £5 each from Tunsgate Arch, then at 7pm a procession starts in High Street and makes its way to Stoke Park for bonfire lighting and fireworks.

Free entry with £5 donation and free parking at Guildford College and at Allianz Insurance.

HOLMBURY ST MARY

The Fabulous Bonfire Boys present Holmbury Bonfire & Fireworks.

The barbecue with a hog roast, hot dogs, soup and mulled cider starts at 6.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 6.45pm, which is followed by a children’s fancy dress competition and fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Admission is by a programme which are available from Kingfisher Farm Shop in Abinger Hammer, and The Kings Head and Royal Oak pubs in Holmbury St Mary, in advance, price £6. Or you can buy one at the gate for £7. Children under ten are free.

HORLEY

Horley Town's charity firework display returns to the Recreation Ground Horley.

Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks display at 7.30pm. The event finishes at 8.30pm.

There will also be a small fun-fair plus barbecue, tea, coffee and canned drinks.

LINGFIELD

Lingfield Park Resort puts on a display of fireworks above its racecourse again this year.

There will be funfair rides, side shows, stalls and food.

You could even book a two-course fire buffet the Trackside Restaurant which includes admission and a table for the evening in the glass fronted restaurant from where you can watch the fireworks.

Gates open at 5pm.

Tickets in advance start from £6 for adults and £3.50 for children.

REIGATE

Reigate Rugby Clubs says its professional fireworks display by Star fireworks will be even bigger this year and as always there will be a bonfire, food and drink.

The licenced bar will be open too.

You will need to walk to get there but there will be parking available for disabled people.

Gates open at 6pm, the bonfire is lit at 7pm and fireworks start at 7.30pm.

Tickets in advance are £4 for adults and £3 for children from the club, and also The Lemon Tree, High Street, Reigate; Knights Haberdashery, Lesbourne Rd, Reigate and Holborn's Newsagents in Hooley Lane, Redhill and Mid Street, Nutfield.

SURBITON

Berrylands Scout Group fireworks display return with a licensed bar, barbecue, games, stalls and a tombola, with all proceeds going towards the fundraising of the Scout Hall.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the bonfire lit at 7.30pm and fireworks at 8pm.

Tickets are available at the Scout Hall from October 30-November 3 between 6.30pm and 8.30pm and on the night of the display.

WARLINGHAM

Warlingham Community Fireworks at John Fisher Sports Club night is now in its fourth year.

As well as the display, there will be a funfair and this year the theme of the night is a winter carnival.

WINCHESTER

Organised by the Round Table, the annual charity event returns to River Park Leisure Centre, with a procession starting at 6pm at King Alfred’s Statue in The Broadway.

The mayor of Winchester will light the bonfire at 7.15pm before the firework display at 7.45pm.

WOKING

Woking District Rotary Club will be holding the Woking Fireworks display at Woking Park (near Woking Leisure Centre).

Farnborough Football Club's annual firework display returns with a funfair from 3.30pm, bars open from 4pm and turnstiles from 6pm.

The Mytchett Centre fireworks display will include a funfair.

NORMANDY

A traditional community bonfire event will be held at Manor Fruit Farm, Glaziers Lane, GU3 2DL .

At around 6.30pm guests will line up in Hunts Hill Road car park to start a torchlight procession through Normandy Common woods to arrive at the east side of Manor Fruit Farm.

The bonfire is lit at around 7pm and the fireworks start at around 7.20pm.

Food is provided by Hunts Hill Farm, drinks by either the Scouts or the Nightingales WI, with a sweets stall and a tea cup ride.

Donations on the night welcome.

OTTERSHAW

Special needs school Meath School, run by the charity I CAN, will be hosting a spectacular firework display to music.

Available on the night will be chips, burgers, hot dogs, homemade soup, mulled wine, tea and coffee, cold drinks, plus a bouncy castle.

Gates open at 5pm with the bonfire lighting at 6pm.

Entry costs £7 for adults and £4 for children (3-14yrs)/OAP’s

All profits go towards equipment for the school children.

REIGATE

South Park Sports Association will hold its annual community fireworks event in Whitehall Lane, RH2 8LG.

Gates open at 6pm, bonfire lit at 7pm and a fireworks display at 7.30pm.

There will be a barbecue, bat, fancy dress and treats for the best dressed.

Adult entry costs £5 and accompanied children are free. Unaccompanied children cost £2.
